Over the past 25 years folk has become used to seeing Christel McIntosh work in the town whether it is sowing or planting flowers, clearing rubbish, spraying weeds, planting trees or the many other activities she has been involved in. It is no surprise, therefore, that so many people in the town are delighted to see that Christel has been awarded the British Empire medal in the recent Queen's Birthday Honours list.
