The Place Youth Club

Fun and games is what you will find on the menu at The Place.

Whether you are looking to relax or be a bit more energetic, the Place Youth Club is the place for you.You can find us across from the Bank of Scotland on the High Street.

We are open on a Tuesday night between 6.30pm and 9pm for secondary school kids. We have free internet access on club nights, pool table, basketball, playstation and much much more..oh!! and not forgetting our coffee bar which is stocked full with snacks and juice.

Peter, Janette and David, our youth workers, will welcome you when you arrive at the youth club. Helen will endeavour to keep you fed and watered at the coffee bar and Margaret and the rest of the Management committee will always be around to lend a helping hand with any activity or project that we undertake.

Our belief is that the young people we work with should be the people that decide what our program and aims should be. By allowing the young people to have their say it is hoped that they will develop positive self confidence and a responsible attitude to life.

The Place is a community building and is avaliable to let for parties, meetings, games and sales, block and single bookings at very reasonable rates. The letting of the hall and fund raising is what funds the running of the youth club. For more information on the buildings uses and avalability please contact our caretaker, Reg.
